- Where is the location?
- ◆ Take the subway Karasuma Line, transfer to Tozai Line at Karasume-Oike Sta.,and get off at
Sanjo-keihan Sta. 3 minute walk.

- Is there an elevator?
Is it wheelchair accessible?
- Yes, the hotel has a shared elevator and is wheelchair accessible.
Please inform us of your wheelchair accessibility at the time of reservation.
A special code is required to enter the theater, and a staff member will escort you.
Please note that a special sheet may be placed on the floor to prevent damage to the floorboards of the dojo.
- Are the swords authentic? Is the experience risk-free?
- We do not use serious swords.
The swords are either mock swords used in iai or dedicated for dancing.
The materials used are zinc alloy or aluminum alloy, respectively. Unlike the katana, which is made of
Japanese wrought iron and polished, this is a cast imitation katana.
They do not have blades like knives, so they are safe in that respect, but since they are modeled after
weapons, please follow the instructions of the instructor who has many years of experience in this field.
If you do not follow the instructions of the instructor, who has many years of experience, we may refuse the
experience for safety reasons.
- Can I go outside in a kimono?
- Outdoor photo opportunities are available only if you book a private experience at a temple or shrine.
- How old do I have to be to experience it?
- It is possible from the age of 5. However, children who are not familiar with sports, dance, or martial arts
may find it a little difficult.
Children under 4 years old are also welcome to join. It is possible for them to wear costumes and enjoy the
atmosphere of the experience with their families.
- Can I bring my infant?
- Possible.
However, someone must be present to watch the infant.
The sword dance is very powerful, and small children may be startled.
We ask that you sit near the door during the performance so that you can leave the room as soon as you see
your child, for example, if he or she starts to cry.
If your child starts to cry, we ask that you please be considerate so that you can leave the room as soon as
you see your child.
- I would like to know where I can rest nearby until the doors open.

McDonald’s 250m in the direction of Higashiyama Station,
Starbucks is 400m away from Sanjo Keihan Station. Please check the closing days by yourself.

The theater will open at the exact time, so please arrive at the designated time.
Also, for approximately 5 minutes after the doors open, guests will be shown in the order of their

- We accept Visa, MasterCard, and other major brands of credit cards, as well as cash on the day of the
event.

- Is there a restroom available?
- There are two Western-style toilets shared by men and women.
- Can I cut something? Or can I fight?
- You cannot cut something or fight a battle.
The stage performing art “kenbai” handled at the museum is based on the techniques and spirit of martial arts
such as iai and kendo, but it does not involve cutting anything with a serious weapon or actually cutting
someone or deciding who wins or loses.

- How old do I have to be to participate?
- Children from the age of 5 years old are allowed. Children under 4 years old are welcome to enter. It is
possible to enjoy the atmosphere of the experience with your family, including wearing costumes.
- What methods of payment are available?
- Once the location and time are confirmed, we will send you a payment link via email. Basically, please pay
by credit card. If you cannot use a credit card or prefer to pay by wire transfer, please let us know and we
will let you know. (Domestic payment only)
